Features

The MIDI DRSSTC Interrupter v1.1 is a polytone general purpose MIDI interrupter based on the open-sourced oneTesla MIDI interrupter. It runs on a single Atmega328 microcontroller and is designed for optical output, but can also interface directly with most DRSSTC via a 5V enable signal. This controller comes with the following features:

• Two modes - standalone interrupter mode or MIDI mode
• Convenient power input via 9V battery (or any 7 to 12V voltage source)
• MIDI input via a standard DIN-5 MIDI connector with opto-isolation
• Generic output capable of driving standard 1000um plastic fiber or ST 62.5um fiber optic among others
• Frequency variable and Pulse width variable (10 to ~135us on time)
• Allows for installation of momentary switch
• Power and Transmit signal LEDs
• Tiny 68 x 44mm footprint
• User programmable via standard 6 pin ISP jack
• 2-tone Polyphony MIDI with velocity sensing
• Gold plated contacts

I have tested essentially the same version of this interrupter extensively on various coils including a small 220kHz DRSSTC 1, a ~110kHz  DRSSTC 2 and a larger ~70kHz DRSSTC 3 with excellent results.

This product has been replaced with my next generation controller and is no longer available and there will be no further production or development.
